Cox Bazar Bangladesh

As a clamp encloses Bangladesh the Bay of Bengal, the northeast part of the Indian Ocean.

Rich colors gloss over the tropical land on the Delta of the great rivers Ganges and Brahmaputra, where there is a maze of waterways, islands and lakes.

Desperately poor, plagued by natural disasters, political instability, Bangladesh has enormous problems everyone fight their misery. Thats the main reason why people want to escape as illegal immigrants to other countries, either by crossing the border into Myanmar and India or by flimsy boats to Thailand and Malaysia.

The sea and cyclones have dramatic impacts to the people living here.

There are some attempts to build up a tourist industry around Cox's Bazar where some great surfing is possible, including the first surf club in Bangladesh. Even open to women, but must comply with the rules of the Muslim Bangladesh and do it with shirts and pants. Not many tourists spent their time on Bangladesh holidays.

Here are some pictures of the country.
