The shrine at the right side is a truly impressive structure.
The temple reminds a bit of the one in Borobudur in Indonesia which was built before Islam arrived. It was erected in 1536 after the order King Mong Ba Gree to commemorate a victory over some parts of Bengal and a Portuguese armada which tried to conquered the capital.
The structure is a hall topped by a main stupa surrounded by 26 smaller ones, it is 53 meters long, 41 meters wide and 29 meters high, at the opposite side is the Htukkant Thein Shrine which functions as a ordination hall.
